Broncos Overcome Browns 41-32

The Denver Broncos edged the Cleveland Browns 41-32 in Week 13 of the 2024 NFL season, elevating their record to 8-5. This victory bolstered Denver’s playoff hopes, with a 76% probability of postseason participation, marking a potential return to the playoffs for the first time since their Super Bowl victory in 2015.

The game delivered drama aplenty, punctuated by Ja’Quan McMillian's electrifying 44-yard interception return for a touchdown, which sealed the win with just 1:48 remaining. This defensive highlight overshadowed an otherwise monumental night for Browns quarterback Jameis Winston and wide receiver Jerry Jeudy, who delivered career-best performances in vain.
Winston showcased his arm talent, throwing for a Browns franchise-record 497 yards and four touchdowns. Despite his impressive display, it was marred by three interceptions, including two returned for touchdowns. Nik Bonitto’s 71-yard pick-six late in the second quarter added to the defensive dominance that ultimately tipped the scales in Denver's favor. Notably, Winston etched his name in the history books as the first NFL quarterback to throw for over 400 yards with four touchdowns and two pick-sixes in the same game.

Jerry Jeudy also had a historic night, recording 235 receiving yards on nine catches—the most ever by a receiver against their former team. Jeudy, who was traded from Denver to Cleveland in the offseason, faced a hostile crowd at Empower Field, where his every catch was met with boos. Despite this, his 70-yard touchdown reception was a testament to his game-breaking abilities.
For the Broncos, Bo Nix delivered a solid performance, throwing for 294 yards and a breathtaking 93-yard touchdown to Marvin Mims Jr. from deep within his own end zone. Though Nix threw two interceptions, Denver’s opportunistic defense compensated with game-changing plays.
