Will Travis Kelce play against the Houston Texan in the playoff game?

Yes, there's no injury report around Travis Kelce and he is certainly ready to help his team win the clash against the Houston Texans. The Kansas City Chiefs, reigning Super Bowl champions, are set to kick off their postseason campaign at Arrowhead Stadium. After clinching the top spot in the AFC at the end of the regular season, the Chiefs earned a first-round bye, allowing them extra time to rest, strategize, and prepare for the high-stakes playoff action.

As the Kansas City Chiefs prepare to face the Houston Texans in the AFC Divisional Round, Travis Kelce is mindful of the challenges posed by the Texans' defense. At 35 years old, Kelce has had a challenging season with 828 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Still, his focus remains sharp as he anticipates a formidable test from Matt Burke’s defensive unit.

“The Texans, you want to talk about playing fast,” Kelce said on the New Heights podcast. “That D-line, that defense, it’s a real deal right there. They showed it this past weekend against the Chargers.”

The Texans’ defense was dominant in the AFC Wild Card game, limiting the Chargers to just 12 points and forcing Justin Herbert into four interceptions. Meanwhile, rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud delivered a stellar performance with 282 passing yards and a touchdown, aided by Nico Collins’ 122 receiving yards and Joe Mixon’s 106 rushing yards.

“This team plays very, very well together,” Kelce emphasized. “It’s going to take all 11 (players) on the field.”

A win would send the Chiefs to their seventh consecutive AFC Championship game, keeping their Super Bowl aspirations alive.
