Scott Laughton definitely has been part of the Philadelphia Flyers this season. He played 59 games and scored 11 goals, with 27 overall points. Darren Dreger of TSN has reported sources very close to Laughton. Those people believe he'd actually be eager to join the Maple Leafs if a trade pulled through. Still, the asking price by the Flyers is high: a first-round pick or top prospect Fraser Minten. The only solution the Leafs may have is to work with a three-team trade or a salary retention option to fit under their salary cap since Laughton has a $3 million cap number.
Laughton admitted he had thought of trades but said it seemed more serious this year. Still, as much uncertainty as there is, he is concentrating on what he can do at the moment with the Flyers.
