Adam Copeland could have some compelling superstars as his final opponent in AEW after he teased his retirement.
Adam Copeland, formerly known as Edge, is one of the most illustrious names in the business of professional wrestling. The Rated-R superstar gained prominence for his tenure in WWE. He had to retire from in-ring competition in 2011 due to neck issues. After nine years away from the ring, Copeland made his return at the 2020 Royal Rumble event and spent the next three years with the company.
In 2023, Adam Copeland left WWE and signed with their direct competitor, AEW, and has been a top fixture for the company. However, recently, the former WWE Champion teased his retirement, which could possibly happen in the next two years. With Copeland approaching the end of his career, here are three AEW stars who can be his final opponent in the company:

3. Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler

Much like Sting, Adam Copeland can also have a tag team match for his final encounter in the ring. He could step in the ring against his former friends turned rivals, FTR, i.e, Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler. Despite their ongoing feud, the trio are close friends in real life. The Rated-R superstar could make his retirement match even more special by having his best friend, Christian Cage, team up with him for his last match. This could lead to the fans seeing E&C reunite for the final time as Copeland would ride off into the sunset following that.

2. Daniel Garcia

Daniel Garcia has been an upcoming and top prospect on the AEW roster. He has been a captivating talent for All Elite Wrestling, has wrestled many top stars, and even held the TNT championship. However, he is yet to claim the brass ring in the land of AEW. Therefore, wrestling a legend like Adam Copeland in his final match and possibly winning the showdown could be a major boost to his career. As Cope himself said, he wanted to face a younger talent in his last match, so Garcia could prove to be a formidable opponent.

1. Christian Cage

Adam Copeland and Christian Cage have been friends for a long time. The duo started their career as a tag team in WWE and even went on to have incredible success as singles stars. The wrestling world would be thrilled to see one final encounter between Edge and Christian in Copeland's retirement match, possibly with some stakes involved, to become one of the blockbuster matches for AEW.
