Most popular WWE wrestlers end up winning multiple championships for themselves, which also eventually contributes to multiple accolades for themselves. However, there are a lot of titles that keep evading these individuals. One prime example is John Cena, who’s likely going to be looking forward to his 17th World Championship win.
However, yet another wrestler is looking forward to capturing a title that has been eluding him for close to five years now. The said wrestler has also been suffering a curse for five years because they haven’t been able to capture any major title for a considerable amount of time now.

WWE Star Shaemus is Looking to Win the Intercontinental Championship at Saturday Night’s Main Event

During his appearance on the Sheamus revealed that he’ll be looking to pick up the victory over the Intercontinental Title by defeating Bron Breakker at Saturday Night’s Main Event on January 25.
Bron Breakker has been an exceptional Intercontinental Champion for a while now, and is having a good run. Sheamus was one of the hottest stars in the company, but he has lost a significant amount of steam and has been relegated to the midcards for quite some time now.
Having said that, he addressed this issue on the show and said, “It definitely feels like a curse at this stage, but one I want to break at Saturday Night’s Main Event. I’ll do everything I can to break it, to become WWE’s first-ever Ultimate Grand Slam champion? That’s where I want to be, man. That’s my goal. It’s been my goal for five years to hold that title, and I keep coming really, really close, whether it’s singles matches with Gunther, triple threats with Drew in there, and the triple threat at Survivor Series. I’ve come so close every single time.?br/>

WIth the event soon approaching, it will be interesting to see how he fares at the match against Bron Breakker, who interestingly enough has been projected to soon become one of the hottest talents in the company.
However, considering that Sheamus hasn’t been with a title for a long time now, it’ll be interesting if WWE Creative thinks that he’s in a good enough position to pick up the Intercontinental Title, and then run with it for the coming few months. Alternatively, this could be a moment where he eventually starts a feud with Bron Breakker, which eventually leads to him picking up the coveted belt for himself.
