The Rock is one of the busiest men in the entertainment industry. The WWE legend has several movies on his slate and after starring in Moana 2, the WWE star and actor has seemingly locked another movie on his slate as Columbia Pictures has already announced the date of its release. The Rock has recently made an appearance on WWE’s recent PLE, Bad Blood teasing a potential feud with Undisputed WWE Champion, Cody Rhodes. While his WWE bookings are yet to be confirmed, The Rock’s Hollywood schedule is quite full.

The Rock’s Jumanji franchise is expanding with another installment to the hit movie series. The action megastar had a stunning run with the previous movies in the series and it appears that all the cards are on the table to bring The Rock in the third and potentially the final adventure in the franchise. The third movie in the franchise, Jumanji 3, under the banner of Columbia Pictures, has officially locked the release date as the movie is heading to the theaters on December 11, 2026. Jumanji 3 will also be screened in IMAX and premium large formats.

The Rock who starred in the franchise’s 2017 movie Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle and 2019’s Jumanji: The Next Level is expected to return alongside his co-stars Karen Gillan, Kevin Hart, and Jack Black. Director Jake Kasdan is also expected to join the upcoming action-adventure flick.
Hiram Garcia who produced the franchise teased the threequel in 2021. “We’ve got a big vision for [the next ‘Jumanji’] movie,” he said at the time (via Variety). “So we’re fired up for that. We’re taking it in soon. And obviously the goal is sometime after… Jake [Kasdan] is doing ‘Red One’ for us, so that is going to be next up. But sometime after ‘Red One’ comes out, ‘Jumanji’ is going to be on deck. I feel like we’ll have everything ready by then and we’ll be able to get into that third installment.” Now, as The Rock’s Red One is wrapped filming and set to hit the theaters on November 15, filming of Jumanji 3 is expected soon.

In 2023, franchise star Kevin Hart teased that the third installment would be the final movie in the series while sharing that the movie will explore the character dynamics in the film. The first installment, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle claimed a whopping $960 million at the global box office, the sequel was also a stunning hit earning over $800 million.
