As per the X post, trainers in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will face a new challenge as Feraligatr the Unrivaled joins the Seven-Star Tera Raid battles starting October 31 at 8:00 PM Eastern (6:30 am IST, November 1). This event will run until Sunday, November 3 at 7:59 PM Eastern (with a second chance to catch the Big Jaw Pokemon from November 7 to 10)
Unlike its usual Water type, Feraligatr the Unrivaled will have the Dark Tera type
, adding a unique twist to the battle. Defeating this opponent will grant the Mightiest Mark to your Pokemon team.
Feraligatr, the fully evolved form of the Johto region's Water-type starter, boasts strong physical attack and defence stats. While typically found in the Terarium's Savanna Biome, this Tera Raid offers a special opportunity to obtain a powerful Dark-type Feraligatr.
This Dark Tera-type Pokémon will be equipped with the Sheer Force ability will boost the power of moves like Crunch and Liquidation, but will remove their secondary effects. Feraligatr the Unrivaled's Dark typing makes it vulnerable to Bug, Fighting, and Fairy attacks. Trainers should be prepared to face a variety of moves, including potential status moves like Swords Dance and Curse.
This also makes Fairy-type Pokémon like Sylveon and Tinkaton potentially strong counters in the upcoming Tera Raid battles.
