Nintendo has announced a new 3D Donkey Kong game for the Nintendo Switch 2 console, which is set to launch in June. At its latest Nintendo Direct event, the Japanese game developer not only shared key details about the upcoming console but also confirmed that the new Donkey Kong Bananza game that will be available exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2 is set to release in July. The game is a 3D platforming action-adventure title that features interactive terrain, where players can break through obstacles to reveal new areas. A gameplay trailer was also presented during the event.

Priced at $69.99, the new Donkey Kong Bananza game that will be available only for Nintendo Switch 2 consoles will be available starting July 17.
The company’s official website describes the game as:

Apart from Donkey Kong Bananza, other games like GameCube titles including The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, Soul Calibur 2, and F-Zero GX will also be available with improved image quality for the Nintendo Online Switch service subscribers.
Firaxis Games will launch Civilization VII on the Nintendo Switch 2 with mouse controls at launch, while Deltarune will add additional chapters.
Additionally, Hollow Knight: Silksong is scheduled for a 2025 release, while other existing titles like Cyberpunk 2077 will also be available on the console.
Age of Imprisonment from the Hyrule Warriors series is set to expand to the Nintendo Switch 2. Lastly, the new Mario Kart World will be a day-one exclusive featuring an open-world mode and dynamic race environments, with a bundle option that includes the game at launch.
