Dehradun Innova accident post removed by Twitter: Read the policy violation post
Social media platform X (earlier Twitter) has taken down a video depicting the aftermath of the Dehradun accident that killed six students. The user who posted the video, identified as Chauhan, received a request from X to take down the content and shared a screenshot of the notice. The user also shared a post on X showing why the social media platform requested him to take down the initial post.

While sharing the post, the user wrote: “Twitter made, that Dehradun Innova Accident video down. The Group who met with the accident on 12th Nov, is clear a case of Drunk & Drive, Group party video is there on X where they are seen consuming alcohol.
Still a message to all
Don’t Drink & Drive.”

Why Twitter asked the user to remove the post

The message from X asking the user to remove the post read: “Violating our rules against posting media depicting gratuitous gore. You may not share excessively graphic media (e.g., severe injuries, torture). Exposure to gratuitous gore can be harmful, especially if the content is posted with intent to delight in cruelty or for sadistic pleasure.”
Below the post, which has already received over 2.25 views, the user wrote: “2nd part of the video is still there on my profile can check out,” and shared a link to the same

In the caption of the video which was initially shared by the user and was later removed by X, he apologised for not blurring the video or adding a warning to the same.
The user wrote: “This video is only for information purposes, I don’t claim this video, even I got the video from X/Twitter only & sorry to all I didn’t remember to add the trigger warning & I also forget blur the video, where sensitive things are shown
Message to all "Don’t drink & drive"

Six students were killed and one critically injured when an Innova car they were travelling in recently crashed into a container truck in Dehradun. The accident occurred around 1:30 am at ONGC Chowk. The speeding SUV crashed into the rear of the truck with such force that the Innova was reduced to wreckage. All six passengers, aged under 25, died at the scene. A seventh passenger is hospitalised in critical condition. Preliminary investigations suggest the truck driver was not at fault.
