AppDynamics founder Jyoti Bansal, had a dream which many business minds have, to launch a startup but took one of the difficult decisions of selling it for a large $3.7 billion but this pleasure of achievement turned into one of the profound regrets.
He made the hardest decision of selling his software startup by thinking of his employees. He graduated from IIT Delhi and is considered the lead inventor on over 20 US patents.
After selling his startup to the employees he quoted as the right move for his staff around 400 employees became millionaires after selling off.

Jyoti Bansal is the founder of AppDynamics, a software startup which he sold in 2017. In his mid-forties he spent numerous years in polishing his software engineering skills until his own entrepreneurial aspirations took root. Before going public, he was approached by the renowned communications tech company Cisco and was offered to buy his company for USD 3.7 billion. Where Bansal prioritised the future fortunes of his employees thus making it one of the hardest decisions of his career too.
Once Bansal gave the green signal to the proposition, many greeted the 400 AppDynamics employees as their stocks soared up to almost $1million. Bansal further stated as the game changer for the values being soared up while some were even soared up to $5million.
The emotional challenges being faced for selling off AppDynamics
Bansal described his experience as the sleepless nights after the sale and believed that people might think selling off the company was an easy task but it was the hardest decision of his career. After the celebration party, he realised that he didn't even want to go back home, which he described as the bittersweet moment.
