SpaceX

SpaceX, elaborated as Space Exploration Technologies Corp, is an American aerospace manufacturing and space transport service providing company. Found by Elon Musk in 2002, the company is headquartered in Hawthorne, California.


This organisation works with an aim to reduce space transportation costs and enables the colonization of planet Mars. SpaceX boasts of developing the Falcon launch vehicle family and the Dragon spacecraft family, currently both of which deliver payloads into the orbit of Earth.

In September 2016,Elon Musk unveiled substantial parts of SpaceX launch vehicles, spacecrafts, and mission architecture of the Interplanetary Transport System program which may in the future lead to the colonization of Mars.

By March 2017, SpaceX had since flown as many as ten missions to the International Space Station (ISS) under a cargo resupply contract.
