Brimming with lovely green gardens, the Birla Mandir or Laxmi Narayan Temple in Jaipur is a perfect place to witness the brilliant work of Rajasthani architecture. This one without any doubt is the most stunning religious centres Jaipur visited by followers in large number. You won’t be able to take your eyes off the beautiful stained glass windows of temple that have scenes from Hindu scriptures. The marble work and sculptures will leave you enthralled. When you’ll look up at high walls and ceilings of this temple, you’ll find intricate carvings from the pious Hindu scriptures such as Geeta and Upanishads. The place, often called the ‘Palace of Winds’, was built on the orders of Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh in 1799. It was meant for royal women from where they can enjoy city’s processions without going out of the palace. This five-storey structure was designed by the famous architect Lal Chand Ustad of that time. Hawa Mahal simply can’t be missed!
