Aishwarya Raj Bhakuni is all set to play Goddess Parvati in the TV show Jai Veer Hanuman. The actress was earlier seen playing Goddess Parvati in Shrimad Ramayan. She said, "I was playing the role of Parvati in Shrimad Ramayan, and the makers liked my roles. Everyone felt how my co-actor Tarun Khanna and I looked best as Mahadev and Parvati on screen. That's how I got the opportunity to play Parvati in Jai Veer Hanuman."
Sharing her views on mythological shows, Aishwarya said, "Sometimes, a mythological character limits the actor as far as exploring the craft is concerned. It is challenging because you cannot add your personal touch to it or interpret it in your own way. A character like Mata Parvati, has to be portrayed with utmost divinity, grace, innocence and sophistication. At the same time, she is fierce when it comes to protecting others. Over the last few years, I have gained experience, I have learnt how to master the art of playing such roles with the required depth and authenticity."
Aishwarya, who has been a part of films like Prithviraj Chauhan, Pride and TV shows like Vighnaharta Ganesha, Gupta Brothers and Tenali Rama, shares further how mytho show actors don't get slotted anymore. She said, "Earlier, actors used to get slotted in similar roles when they acted in a mytho show but now the industry has evolved and you do get good opportunities." She added, "A few years ago, actors who played mythological roles often got typecast, making it difficult for them to experiment with other roles. However, today, things are quite different. Actors who have played mythological roles are now being accepted in many different roles."
