Kanikka Kapur: Acting was always on my mind

Given that India is such an entertainment-crazy country, many people aspire to become an actor. However, not everyone works toward that goal actively. In a recent chat with us, Kanikka Kapur revealed that although she was always interested in acting, she wasn’t really open to pursuing it. However, fate had other plans. The young actress recently made her television debut with the daily soap ‘Ek Duje Ke Vaaste 2’.
She says, “In school, I was fond of psychology because it teaches us why people react in certain ways. At the same time, while doing stage shows, I used to love the fact that we could be anything on the stage. That really attracted me when I was a kid. Later, when I grew up, I realised that acting also involves psychology. When we are playing a certain character, we have to think of their back-story and how they will react accordingly. So, understanding psychology helped me work on my craft.”
“I get bored of things easily, but acting is something that will stick around because I really love it. Back when I was a kid, I wasn't vocal about it, but deep down, I always wanted to be an actor,” adds Kanikka.
Kanikka is also been part of the reality show ‘India's Next Superstars’, which was judged by Karan Johar, Rohit Shetty, Mukesh Chhabra and Mahesh Bhatt.
