In a heartwarming gesture, former Bigg Boss Tamil 7 contestant Snekan and his wife, actress Kannika Ravi, paid a surprise visit to the legendary music director Ilayaraja on his birthday. The couple took to social media to share a picture of their visit, capturing a special moment with the maestro at his residence.

Snekan's journey in the Tamil film industry began with the film ‘Putham Puthu Poove’ in 1997, introduced by K. Balachander and music director S. A. Rajkumar. Over the years, he has made a significant mark as a lyricist, penning over 3000 songs for more than 500 films. His collaborations with renowned music directors like A. R. Rahman, Ilayaraja, and Harris Jayaraj have produced numerous memorable tracks.

Apart from his successful career as a lyricist, Snekan ventured into acting with his debut in the film ‘Yogi’ (2009). He went on to star in other films such as ‘Uyarthiru 420’ (2011) and participated in the popular reality show ‘Bigg Boss Tamil’ in 2017, where he emerged as the runner-up.
