Tyler Perry’s new legal thriller ‘Duplicity’ is set to stream on OTT soon

Tyler Perry’s upcoming legal thriller Duplicity is all set to premiere on March 20, 2025. Despite his packed schedule, Perry’s production company, Tyler Perry Studios, doesn’t seem to be slowing down anytime soon.
According to a report by Hindustan Times, this will be Perry’s first film release of the year, following a busy 2024 where he launched three films on major streaming platforms.
The movie Duplicity follows the story of Marley, a determined lawyer who finds herself caught in a deeply personal legal case. Marley’s best friend, Fela, loses her husband under mysterious circumstances, and Marley decides to investigate his death. Helping her is her lover, Tony, a retired detective with valuable skills that may help crack the case. As they search for answers, the story dives into themes of justice, betrayal, and trust—common threads often found in Tyler Perry’s storytelling.
The teaser trailer for Duplicity was released in February 2025, giving fans a first look at this intense courtroom drama. Perry’s fans are expecting another gripping film packed with suspense and emotional twists.
The cast of Duplicity includes Kat Graham playing Marley and Tyler Lepley starring as Tony. Other cast members include Meagan Tandy, RonReaco Lee, Joshua Adeyeye, Nick Barrotta, and Jimi Stanton. In 2024 alone, he released The Six Triple Eight, Divorce in the Black, and Mea Culpa on Netflix and Prime Video.
The Six Triple Eight told the true story of the 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion—an all-Black, all-female unit that served during World War II. It premiered on Netflix in December 2024. Divorce in the Black, released on Prime Video in July 2024, featured Meagan Good as Ava, a woman dealing with heartbreak after her husband walks out on her. Lastly, Mea Culpa, starring Kelly Rowland, came out in February 2024 on Netflix and followed a defense attorney who represents an artist accused of murdering his fiancée.
