'Unacceptable, un-American': Vivek Ramaswamy on 2nd assassination attempt on Trump

Former President Donald Trump narrowly escaped another assassination attempt near a Florida golf club on Sunday.
Trump who was present at the golf course remains unharmed and is safe.
In response, former presidential candidate and Trump supporter Vivek Ramaswamy expressed his concerns regarding the increasing political violence. Taking to the social media platform X, Ramaswamy condemned the attack and emphasised the urgency to address the issue.
"Yes, we are grateful that President Trump is safe, once again.But this growing pattern of political violence needs to STOP right now. It is unacceptable and un-American," Ramaswamy posted, urging for an end to the violence.

He also called for heightened protection for Trump, insisting that the Secret Service provide the former president with the same level of security as current President Joe Biden. "I’m calling on Secret Service to IMMEDIATELY step up its protection for President Trump to the same level they provide to Biden. There’s no excuse not to at this point," Ramaswamy wrote.
Ramaswamy further warned of the broader implications of such events, stating, "America is skating on thin ice, and I thank God we’ve now averted tragedy twice this summer. We can only hope that the two assassination attempts on President Trump already will be the worst things that happen this election cycle."
Having previously been a presidential candidate, Ramaswamy has become a vocal supporter of Donald Trump, aligning himself closely with the former president amidst the ongoing political tensions.
