Cyclonic circulation in Rajasthan may cool down city, state
Ahmedabad: After nearly a week of blistering heat, temperatures are set to reduce in Ahmedabad and across Gujarat following a change in weather from Saturday. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecast, the maximum temperature is expected to decrease by 2-4 degrees celsius from Sunday.
At 43.4 degrees, Ahmedabad recorded the second-highest maximum temperature in the state after 43.5 degrees in Gandhinagar, which was 1.7 degrees higher than normal. The minimum temperature also rose to 27.6 degrees, 1.4 degrees higher than normal.

With an upper air cyclonic circulation over southwest Rajasthan and the neighbourhood, light to moderate rainfall or thundershowers are expected in Banaskantha, Sabarkantha, and Kutch district on Saturday, and in Banaskantha, Patan, Mehsana, Sabarkantha, Aravalli, Panchmahal, Dahod, Mahisagar, Vadodara, Chhota Udepur, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Gir Somnath, and Kutch on Sunday.
Unseasonal rain is likely in some parts of the state until May 8, as indicated by the IMD forecast. Some other cities and towns with high temperatures include 43.1 degrees in Rajkot, 42.9 degrees in VV Nagar, 42.4 degrees in Surendranagar, and 42.3 degrees in Amreli.
