Personally visited Nangal to stop release of excess water, Punjab will no longer tolerate bullying: Mann
Garhshankr: Presiding over a youth club leadership programme here, CM Bhagwant Mann Saturday said he personally visited the Nangal dam to stop the release of excess water and Punjab will no longer tolerate bullying.
Mann said Punjab never wanted conflict, but was repeatedly dragged into fights. After border disputes, the state is now being forced into a water war, he added.
"If the water currently blocked from entering Pakistan is diverted to Punjab's dams, Punjab can supply water to Haryana through Bhakra," Mann said, adding that the Punjab govt wrote six times to the Haryana govt, warning them about excessive water usage, but received no serious response.
AAP Punjab incharge Manish Sisodia and several other senior leaders also addressed the youth club programme organised by the party.
