Panaji: The directorate of technical education (DTE) announced on Wednesday that it will start admissions to all professional degree graduate programmes from May 7. These include all courses to which admission is NEET-based, like medicine, nursing, pharmacy, ayurveda, homoeopathy, etc, and all JEE-based courses like engineering.
DTE officials said a common prospectus (with forms) for degree programmes will be available on its website from the third week of April. For diploma programmes, the prospectus and forms will be available online from this week. Applications for degree programmes will be accepted from May 7 to 16, while diploma applications are open from April 21 to 30.
“Filled diploma forms will be accepted at all polytechnics. Filled degree forms will be accepted at PES pharmacy college in Farmagudi and the four private engineering colleges at Assagao, Verna, Fatorda, and Shiroda besides the DTE headquarters at Porvorim,” an official said.
People from the DTE’s admission committees will be present at each centre to take students’ and parents’ queries.
