Sports bike rider from Kolhapur killed in collision with car
Kolhapur: Siddhesh Redekar, a 24-year-old from Kasbekar Park, near Kolhapur's Mahavir College, died when his sports bike collided with a car near Madalage village on the Amboli-Ajara road.
The incident occurred on Sunday around 11.30 am. The case was registered at the CPR police chowki.
Siddhesh was pursuing engineering, and his father is a well-known entrepreneur. He had a passion for sports bikes. On Sunday, around 6 am, he, along with three friends, went to Ajara on sports bikes. On their way back, near Madalage village, Redekar's bike collided with a car. Though he was wearing a helmet, the safety gear came off, and he sustained severe head injuries.
Siddhesh was first admitted to hospitals in Ajara and Gadhinglaj for treatment. Later, he was transferred to CPR Hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries before treatment even started. He is survived by his parents, sister, and brother.
