Airtel ties up with Blinkit for SIM delivery in 10 mins

Kolkata: Telecom operator Bharti Airtel has tied up with e-commerce platform Blinkit for the delivery of SIM cards within 10 minutes in the city. As part of the partnership, consumers can buy Airtel SIM cards on Blinkit and get them activated through Aadhaar-based KYC authentication. The service is now available in 16 cities.
Airtel has over 54 lakh customers in Kolkata, according to TRAI data.
Siddharth Sharma, Bharti Airtel CEO - connected homes and director of marketing, said, "Under this service, customers can receive SIM cards at their doorstep in 10 minutes at a nominal convenience fee of Rs 49."
Vodafone Idea is already providing an online SIM purchase and delivery service in the city.
