Kolkata horror: Woman's body found in suitcase in Baguiati

KOLKATA: Police found a woman's body inside an abandoned suitcase near a drain near Kolkata's Baguiati police station on Tuesday morning.
"The body has been sent for post-mortem examination. Her identity is yet to be ascertained," a police officer said.
According to locals, the deceased woman appeared to be an outsider, and they noticed visible injury marks on her body.
"We suspect that the body was dumped here last night," said a resident.
A similar incident occurred in February, when authorities apprehended a woman and her daughter attempting to dispose of a body in a suitcase along the Hooghly river in Kumartuli.
Subsequent investigation revealed that the victim was the daughter's mother-in-law, whom they had reportedly killed.
