PM Modi busy in campaign, meeting celebrities instead of responding to Pakistan, says Sanjay Raut in Pune
Pune: Shiv Sena (UBT) Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut on Saturday criticised Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying he spoke about giving a befitting reply to Pakistan after the Pahalgam terror attack, but in reality, he was busy campaigning in Bihar and spending hours with celebrities in Mumbai.
"Looking at the body language of Modi, it does not appear that our country is preparing for retaliation against Pakistan. There is no sadness on the faces of BJP members and the Prime Minister after the massacre of 26 people. In fact, he is cheerfully holding meetings with personalities like Gautam Adani and Pawan Kalyan," Raut told the media in Pune.

On opposition parties announcing their support to govt in taking action against the perpetrators of the attack, Raut said, "It is true that we should unitedly stand by govt, but this govt does not deserve it. It committed some unpardonable mistakes."
He came down heavily on Modi for attending the first World Audio Visual and Entertainment Summit inauguration in Mumbai on Thursday. "The Prime Minister of a country which is preparing itself for war will not leave the national capital. But in our country, on the second day of the Pahalgam attack, Modi went to Bihar for a campaign. He spent nine hours with celebrities in Mumbai."
The parliamentarian also demanded the resignation of Union home minister Amit Shah. "At the all-party meeting, Shah admitted that there were lacunae in security arrangements. But despite that, he continues to hold the portfolio of home. The PM should immediately ask him to resign," Raut said.
