Two boys held for raping Class 5 girl

Rajkot: A 12-year-old girl was found to be five months pregnant after which a case was registered against two minors at B Division police station in the city. Police plan to detain the two minors and present them in juvenile court. The investigation has found that the girl was allegedly raped by a family member and the acquaintance of a family friend.
According to police sources, the girl, a Class 5 student, had recently gone to her uncle's house in Maharashtra with her family for a vacation. While there, she experienced abdominal pain and was taken to a doctor, where it was discovered that she was five months pregnant. Consequently, Maharashtra police filed an FIR and forwarded it to B Division police station.
The girl revealed that she had been raped by not one, but two minors. The investigation uncovered that the family member had raped her six or seven times, while the family friend's acquaintance raped her once last Navratri. One of the accused minors is 13 years old and the other is 16.
The victim's mother had remarried after her marriage to the girl's father ended. B Division police are gathering evidence in the case. The girl's family member also allegedly threatened her with death, warning her not to speak about the crime to anyone. Consequently, the initial complaint in Maharashtra only mentioned the family friend's acquaintance. During further questioning by B Division police, the victim said two individuals had raped her.
