Hollow Knight: Silksong is not as far away as it was thought to be

Regarding Hollow Knight: Silksong's release date, a reliable game leaker has boldly stated that it will debut on the first day of Xbox Game Pass. Fans have been irritated by Hollow Knight: Silksong's lack of significant updates over the years, but if the leak is accurate, the game may soon get some important new information.
Although we haven't heard anything yet, Hollow Knight: Silksong fans have had a pretty crazy year so far. We've seen the game abruptly disappear from a storefront, an ARG was discovered and quickly disproved, and even Xbox admit that the game is real and not just a widespread hallucination.


The game's release date has been pushed back to before the end of Q2 2025, according to trusted leaker Extas1s, who stated that Hollow Knight: Silksong is currently scheduled to launch on Xbox Game Pass by June 2025 at the latest.
Extas1s claims that Microsoft was given a placeholder date or deadline for the game's release in June 2025 by Team Cherry, but the leaker thinks the studio won't meet it. Before we go frenzy about this claim, t's important to remember that Extas's record isn't flawless. Although he recently misidentified Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3 + 4 as a shadow drop at an Xbox event this summer, he does have a fairly good idea of what games will be available on Xbox Game Pass and when.

In February 2019, approximately two years after the release of the highly regarded Hollow Knight video game, Hollow Knight: Silksong was first made public. That same year, the game was also confirmed as an Xbox Game Pass day one title. However, over the next six years, developer Team Cherry would only occasionally release updates for the game.
Fans have hope for the upcoming action platformer Hollow Knight: Silksong after Team Cherry's head of marketing and publishing, Matthew Griffin, reiterated in January that the game is still in development and "will release" at some point.
Although there aren't many new details available about Hollow Knight: Silksong's precise development status, it's obvious that Team Cherry's new game is still one of the most anticipated releases of 2025.
