In a shocking twist of events, it has been reported that NBA Stars Shaquille O'Neal and Draymond Green have lost $20,000 each due to a fraudulent scheme by a gang leader in Los Angeles. This comes after a donation of $40,000 was made to a Non-Profit Organization, Developing Options. The purpose of the donation was to help underprivileged children embark on a career in sports.
Shaquille O’Neal and Draymond Green were defrauded by LA Gangster, Eugene Henley
Shaquille O'Neal and Draymond Green have made huge contributions to philanthropic endeavors. However, their latest donation to charity backfired due to fraudulent activity. The donation was made to Eugene 'Big U' Henley who is a popular figure in the hip-hop industry. Apart from music production, the gangster also runs a Non-Profit Organization known as Developing Options. However, the real motive behind the organization is to manage gang-related interventions.
Draymond Green transferred $20,000 into the account of Developing Options in August 2019. In a different timeline, Shaquille O'Neal had also transferred the same amount to the organization. Henley then transferred the money into his checking account, thus defrauding them. It was then discovered that Henley had defrauded many others similarly. The organization was a front that did not help children in any form.
The organization had also sourced funds from the LA Mayor's Office for a Gang Reduction Youth Development program. $2.35 million was donated to the non-profit over five years. However, a major chunk of the fund was withdrawn by Henley as salary.

It has been reported that the gangster would charge a protection fee any time a rapper or athlete would arrive in Los Angeles. The upside was that Eugene helped the duo recover $6.5 million from a professional boxer. He had then charged a $100,000 fee for his services. While it is unclear if the duo were threatened to donate that sum, a 107-page federal complaint has been made against Eugene which names 9 others who have been defrauded.
