Oilers' Evander Kane was sued by a woman after he refused to pay $3,000,000 for aborting their child despite previously agreeing to the deal

Evander Kane, NHL star, faced controversy in 2018 when sued by ex-girlfriend Hope Parker for backing out of a $2 million abortion deal. In financial trouble, Kane filed for bankruptcy in 2021, but the case remains unresolved. Additionally, Kane endured a tough 2021 with a divorce and betting allegations, though later cleared of the latter.

Evander Kane, the NHL star, has been involved in a lot of controversies related to his personal life. Back in 2018, he shocked the league when he was sued by a woman named Hope Parker who had accused the NHL star of refusing to pay her $2 million to $3 million for an abortion, as per RadarOnline.com. Apparently, Hope Parker is an ex girlfriend of the NHL star.

Evander Kane Had Agreed To Pay $2 Million To $3 Million To His Ex Girlfriend For Her Abortion But Backed Out Of The Deal

The two dated between 2016 and 2018 when Hope Parker got pregnant for the first time but aborted the child. A few months later, Hope Parker again got pregnant and apparently, Evander Kane “pleaded” with her to get an abortion done; something Hope was not in favour of.
At the end of the day, Evander Kane paid her a whopping $125,000 to get the abortion done for the second time, as per DailyMail.com. However, Hope Parker again got pregnant and again refused to get an abortion done. So, Evander Kane agreed to pay her a whopping $2 million to $3 million to abort for the third time.
But Evander Kane backed out of their deal and Hope Parker ended up suing him in 2018. This case took an interesting turn in 2021 when Evander Kane had amassed a huge debt and filed for bankruptcy.
It seems like Evander Kane had believed that filing for bankruptcy in 2021 would also dismiss Hope Parker’s case against him for backing out of their $2 million to $3 million deal. But as luck would have it, the Federal bankruptcy judge Stephen Johnson did not allow this case to be dismissed but also did not rule in anybody’s favor.
Since then, there has been no update on the case in the media yet. 2021 proved to be a pretty difficult year for the NHL star. After he got sued by his ex girlfriend, he got involved in a nasty divorce battle with his ex wife, Anna Kane, who even accused him of betting on his games.
This had led to an investigation by NHL and a temporary suspension. But Evander Kane was cleared of this charge after no evidence was found against him and he ended up proving his innocence. Since then he and his ex wife have mostly stayed away from each other in public.
