Apple launches MacBook Air with M4 chip, new colour, and a more affordable price

Apple has unveiled its latest MacBook Air, introducing the M4 chip and a sky blue color while simultaneously dropping prices. The new model comes in two sizes - 13 inches and 15 inches, and is twice as fast as the first-generation M-series powered MacBook Air model from 2020. The company's newest ultralight laptops will be available in 13-inch and 15-inch models, starting at Rs 99,900 and Rs 124,900 respectively, with education pricing even lower at Rs 89,900 and Rs 114,900. Compared to the last-generation M3-powered MacBook Air, which started at Rs 1,14,900, the M4 model starts at Rs 15,000 lower price. Pre-orders for the M4 MacBook Air opened today, with new models set to ship on March 12.

Apple claims the new laptops are up to twice as fast compared to M1 models, featuring a 10-core CPU and up to a 10-core GPU. The chip supports up to 32GB of unified memory and promises up to 18 hours of battery life.
The latest MacBook Air introduces a sky blue color option, joining the existing midnight, starlight, and silver choices. A notable upgrade includes a 12MP Center Stage camera and enhanced external display support, allowing users to connect up to two 6K displays alongside the built-in screen.
Apple Intelligence compatibility comes standard, offering artificial intelligence features like Image Playground, Genmoji, and advanced writing tools.
