Xiaomi has launched its flagship smartphone, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra, in China. Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, it features a 6.73-inch OLED display, 16GB RAM, and innovative Tiantong satellite communication. The camera system, in partnership with Leica, includes a 50MP main sensor and multiple telephoto lenses. It starts at 6499 yuan (Rs 78,050).

Xiaomi 15 Ultra is here. Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi has launched its flagship smartphone of 2025 — Xiaomi 15 Ultra. The company has launched the smartphone at an event in China. Xiaomi 15 Ultra is the first smartphone of the company to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. The smartphone packs 16GB of RAM and comes with an OLED LTPO display. The smartphone also comes equipped with Tiantong satellite communication function which makes it the world’s first mobile phone to come with direct satellite data function.
15 Ultra comes in classic black and silver, pine and cypress green, white, and black colour options and its price starts at 6499 yuan (Rs 78,050). The company is expected to launch the smartphone in March in India.

Xiaomi 15 Ultra specifications

The Xiaomi 15 Ultra boasts a 6.73-inch 2K M8 12-bit OLED LTPO display with a 20:9 aspect ratio and a resolution of 3100 x 1440 pixels. It features a 1-120Hz variable refresh rate, up to 3200 nits peak brightness and support for HDR10+ and Dolby Vision.
The screen is protected by Xiaomi Ceramic Glass 2.0 and offers 1920Hz PWM dimming and DC dimming for superior visual quality. Under the hood, the phone is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 8 Elite 3nm SoC paired with an Adreno 830 GPU, alongside options of 12GB or 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and storage capacities of 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB UFS 4.1.
The Xiaomi 15 Ultra runs on Xiaomi HyperOS 2.0 and supports dual nano-SIM cards. Its camera system, developed in collaboration with Leica, includes a 50MP main camera with a 1-inch sensor, 14EV dynamic range, and an ultra-large f/1.63 aperture with OIS. Additional rear cameras include a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens with a 115° field of view and super macro capabilities, a 50MP telephoto lens with 3X zoom and telephoto macro features, and a 200MP super telephoto lens with 4.3X periscope zoom. On the front, there’s a 32MP camera with 4K 60fps recording capabilities.
The device also features an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, an infrared sensor, stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, Hi-Res audio, and a USB Type-C port. It is IP68-rated for dust and water resistance.
The Xiaomi 15 Ultra is backed by a 6000mAh battery that supports 90W wired fast charging, 80W wireless charging, and reverse wireless charging.
