Zomato employee shares mom’s ‘dabba’ solution to deliver AirPods safely; post goes viral

Zomato employee Bahaar Batra recently shared a post on X (formerly known as Twitter) narrating how her mother packed her Apple AirPods in a ‘dabba’ to send them safely. The post has now gone viral on the microblogging platform, garnering more than 4 lakh views so far. It has also sparked conversation online with users flooding her post with comments.
In the post, Batra wrote “forgot my AirPods at home today and asked mom to send them safely with a delivery guy without him knowing what it is and she packed it in a dabba! IN A DABBA??!! 😭😭😭”.She also shared images in the post. One of them shows a steel dabba wrapped in polythene. In the other, the dabba’s lid is off, containing another wrapper carrying the AirPods.


In another post, Batra humorously wrote “itne likes dekh ke mummy ne bola kal charger bhi dabbe mein pack karke dungi 😭😭😭”. The post has more than 13K likes so far.

Commenting on the post, one user wrote “Mom security > Any security”, while another said “She is the best. No one could have thought of this.” A third user said “It worked, right. This was genius actually, come to think of it.”
“Mom’s love is unmatched. I didn’t see the tweet but just with images I could say, my mother would have done the same. They are too cute,” wrote a third. A fourth user wrote “seems like there is an unknown trainings which every mom takes so that u get these things common in every mom across the country…. like same, mom in delhi and a mom in chennai would scold the same, would taunt the same in kitchen and over things etc”.
