Exclusive- Kaise Mujhe Tum Mil Gaye's Akanksha Chamola on celebrating Holi: My favorite part is how the festival brings together different cultures
Holi is a popular and major Hindu holiday known as the holiday of Colours, Love, and Spring. It commemorates the eternal and holy love between the deities Radha and Krishna. The day also represents the triumph of good over evil, as it recalls Vishnu's victory as Narasimha over Hiranyakashipu.
Akanksha Chamola, who essays the role of Manvi in Kaise Mujhe Tum Mil Gaye, said, “Holi in Mumbai is always a sight to behold, as the city brings the festive magic to life. Celebrating the festival here has always been a diverse experience—starting with playing with friends and attending Holi parties with Bollywood music. My favorite part is how the festival brings together different cultures, allowing you to enjoy a variety of cuisines such as puran poli, gujiya, malpua, and dahi vada, all in one place. Holi is one of my favorite occasions of the year, and I’m excited to celebrate it with my family and my husband. We’re already preparing for a day packed with music, dance, and delicious snacks. Wishing everyone a Happy Holi filled with colors, happiness, and cherished moments with loved ones.”
On joining the show as Manvi, Akanksha shared, "Playing Manvi is an exhilarating challenge because she’s not your typical antagonist. She’s sharp, strategic, and always one step ahead. What makes her truly dangerous is her ability to twist situations and manipulate people without them even realizing it. Her presence will change the dynamics between Virat and Amruta in ways the audience won’t see coming. I can’t wait for viewers to witness her dark side unravel."
