Currently seen in Zyada Mat Udd, Kunal Karan Kapoor is all set to join the cast of Tenali Rama. The makers of the show have roped him in for a pivotal extended cameo appearance, where he will portray a retired Army doctor in this costume drama. Kunal shares, “Joining Tenali Rama as a retired Army doctor seeking peace, only to find himself caught up in thrilling adventures, promises to be an exciting new chapter in my career.I look forward to this journey being as enriching and entertaining as ever.”
This role will also mark Kunal’s debut in the historical genre. Talking about this new experience, he says, “Yes, this is my first historical show, and I was equally excited and apprehensive about wearing the costume. However, the team has done a fantastic job with it, and I’m glad I decided to take this on.”
Apart from acting, Kunal is equally passionate about photography and traveling. In a previous interview with us, he shared his newfound passion for photography, saying, “I enjoy clicking pictures in beautiful, green surroundings and love sunsets, something that’s impossible to experience in Mumbai because all you hear is traffic noise.
Photography is a hobby I discovered over the past five years. Whenever I travel, I explore new cities, meet new people, and take pictures during my trips, which brings me a lot of happiness.”
He added, “My ideal vacation is an unplanned one. I’ve lost count of how many countries I’ve traveled to in the past few years. The longest trip I remember lasted for 55 days. I traveled across three continents and stayed in 17 different hotels—Europe, South East Asia, and the Middle East. I believe it’s important to be happy with whatever you do, whether it’s traveling solo or with a group of people. When I’m not working, I prefer to travel or capture beautiful moments through photography. It brings me immense joy.”
