The Shiv Sena's new head office is in Thane. The head office is now not in Mumbai, where the party has been headquartered from its birth in 1966, because the Election Commission has recognised the Shinde faction as the real Shiv Sena, but a Trust controlled by the Uddhav Thackeray faction owns the Shiv Sena Bhawan in Dadar. So, the Shinde faction zeroed in on a new location that was once the home of Sena veteran and Eknath Shinde's mentor as the party HQ. Anand Ashram at Tembhi Naka is the new central office of the party. The party has already started issuing circulars and appointments from this address in Thane.
