Chandigarh:
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convener
Arvind Kejriwal, accompanied by chief minister
Bhagwant Mann and incharge of Punjab affairs Manish Sisodia, will address a volunteers' meeting in Ludhiana on Tuesday.
Party leaders said the meeting will be held at King's Villa at 3 pm and will be followed by a press conference. The party has been gearing up for the assembly byelections in Ludhiana West, and the party's Rajya Sabha MP Sanjeev Arora has already been named the AAP nominee.
Following AAP's defeat in the Delhi Assembly elections, Sisodia was appointed incharge of Punjab and former minister Satyender Jain as co-in-charge on March 21. He arrived in Chandigarh last week and has been holding meetings with the local party leaders, including MLAs.
After the party's Delhi debacle, Kejriwal summoned Punjab AAP MLAs to Delhi on February 11 and asked them to stay united and requested them to work among the public. He also said that winning the 2027 assembly elections is the target of the party.
