Chandigarh: Former Delhi deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia, who has been appointed in charge of AAP's Punjab affairs, has started taking feedback from Punjab leaders, including cabinet ministers. More state leaders are likely to be called to share inputs after the assembly session.
Sources said Sisodia met Punjab industry minister Tarunpreet Singh Sond, who is also vice-president of AAP's state unit, in Delhi on Saturday. Some more ministers are likely to meet him in coming days, said sources. "It was not the ministers, but leaders holding posts in party organisation who attended the meeting with Sisodia. A detailed plan to strengthen the party in the state will be worked out by addressing the issues of AAP workers at the grassroots. Since the assembly session is on, senior ministers and MLAs are likely to give their inputs after March 28," said a party leader.
On Friday, AAP political affairs committee appointed Sisodia as in charge and former minister Satyender Jain as co-in charge of Punjab. The changes follow the party's defeat in the recent Delhi assembly elections.
Sisodia said this endeavour will be that all AAP leaders, workers, and the govt under the leadership of CM Bhagwant Mann together fulfil the expectations of the people.
