NEW DELHI: Delhi BJP held a special screening of the movie, 'The Kerala Story', at a cinema hall in north Delhi on Monday. Senior leaders including MPs Meenakshi Lekhi and Harsh Vardhan, and BJP Delhi president Virendra Sachdeva attended the event.
The party said that several senior leaders watched the film along with Delhi ABVP activists, a group of girl students from Delhi University, and traders and citizens of the walled city.
Sachdeva said: "Though the film is based on the true story of three Kerala-based women, it also raises awareness against the dangers of love jihad across the country."
Earlier, BJP spokesperson Praveen Shankar Kapoor demanded that the movie be declared tax-free in Delhi.
