Panaji: After enduring two weeks of heatwave-like conditions, Goa experienced a welcome break on Wednesday, with a partly cloudy sky providing much-needed relief.
The maximum temperature in Panaji dropped to a more comfortable 31.4°C, offering residents and visitors a respite from the intense heat.
The
India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast dry weather conditions with partly cloudy skies and haze for Goa over the next 24 hours. The temperatures to range from a maximum of 34°C to a minimum of 25°C.
The state is expected to experience high temperatures and moderate fog in the mornings, continuing through the coming days.
These conditions are expected to persist until March 21, with maximum temperatures remaining between 34°C and 35°C. Shallow to moderate fog is also likely in the morning hours, adding to the hazy conditions.
The IMD has also confirmed that the weather in both North and South Goa will remain dry until March 25.
Over the next week, maximum temperatures are expected to stay in the range of 34°C to 35°C, with minimal chances of rain.
The IMD’s observations indicate the presence of a trough or wind discontinuity extending from Marathwada to a cyclonic circulation over South Tamil Nadu, crossing through interior Karnataka at 900m above mean sea level.
