The movie is being directed by Michael Showalter, who previously worked on The Idea of You.

The movie’s cast includes some big Hollywood names. Anne Hathaway will play Verity Crawford, reuniting with director Michael Showalter after their work together on The Idea of You. Josh Hartnett will take on the role of Jeremy Crawford, while Dakota Johnson will star as Lowen Ashleigh.
Filming for 'Verity' began in New York City in February 2025. Hathaway and Hartnett were spotted shooting scenes together, holding hands and running down the street in semi-formal outfits.
