Panaji CCP polls: Monserrate seeks third term

Panaji: The Corporation of the City of Panaji (CCP) elections will be held on Wednesday at Panaji. Rohit Monserrate and Sanjeev Naik filed their nominations for mayor and deputy mayor, respectively, on Monday.
The final day to file nomination is on Tuesday. As of the deadline, Monserrate and Naik’s nominations remain unopposed.
Monserrate, the present CCP mayor, is vying for a third consecutive win. Residents closely watch the CCP elections and are keen to see how the leadership will address the city’s challenges and opportunities, especially after the ongoing Smart City upgrade works.
