Gurgaon: The city experienced some relief from the heat on Wednesday, with the minimum temperature reaching 25.3 degrees Celsius and the maximum at 35.5 degrees Celsius.
While the minimum temperature rose slightly above the season's average of 23.5 degrees Celsius, the maximum temperature saw a significant drop from the usual 40.8 degrees Celsius.
The
India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued an orange alert for Thursday, predicting a dust storm,
thunderstorm, and lightning accompanied by gusty winds reaching speeds of 50-60 kmph in isolated areas. This alert indicates a high likelihood of severe weather conditions that could disrupt daily activities and pose risks to safety.
IMD issued a yellow alert in effect till May 6, warning of thunderstorms and lightning with gusty winds of 40-50 kmph in isolated areas. Residents are advised to stay indoors and take necessary precautions to avoid potential hazards associated with these weather events.
Meanwhile, light rain, thunderstorms, and dust storms are expected in Delhi over the next three days as IMD issued a yellow alert.
