Infantry Div wins two sailing events, UB area wins one at Central Command Sailing Regatta

Mhow: Infantry Division emerged winner in the 21st edition of the Sailing Regatta and Kayaking (singles), while the Uttar Bharat Area team won the Kayaking (doubles) event in the Central Command Sailing Regatta at Bercha Lake on Sunday. GOC-in-C of Central Command, Lt Gen Anindya Sengupta, presided over the closing ceremony and gave away the prizes and trophies to the winners.
Addressing a large number of officers and their families, Lt Gen Sengupta encouraged the gathering to take part in such adventure activities, which require courage, determination and acumen. He assured the Army War College (AWC) of all assistance from the Central Command for the future development of Bercha Watermanship Training Academy (BWTA).
Seventy-three participants unfurled their sails during this year's competition amidst the serene waters of the lake. The competitions were conducted by the AWC and provided a fertile ground for fostering cohesion and competition amongst all three services, i.e., Army, Navy and Air Force, along with young budding cadets of the Military College of Telecommunication Engineering (MCTE). Events included Enterprise class sailing races and Kayaking.
