Suspended principal, librarian booked after fight at Eklavya school in Khargone
Khargone: A day after principal of Eklavya Adarsh Awasiya Vidyalaya was suspended, authorities suspended the librarian too on Tuesday. The police also registered cases against the principal and librarian for beating each other.Mengaon police station in-charge Pankaj Tiwari told TOI that cases were registered on cross complaints late on Monday.Principal Praveen Dahiya, in her complaint, claimed that the librarian Madhurani came to her office, quarrelled over book distribution, used obscene language, and left. Peon Sunita also came to her office saying that Madhurani was quarrelling and threatening her. The principal said in her complaint that when she went to library to convince them, Madhurani assaulted her due to which her nose started bleeding.The librarian complained that when she was sorting books with peon Sunita, the principal came there with her son, questioned her character, and said that a peon was not needed to sort the books. Madhurani claimed that the principal beat her up, broke her mobile, and threatened to get her fired from the job and kill her.
"Based on the inquiry report and proposals, the principal was suspended on Monday, and on Tuesday, the librarian was also suspended by NESTS authorities. A departmental inquiry will be started against them," Collector Bhavya Mittal said.Assistant Commissioner, Janjatiya Karya Khargone, Prashant Arya, told TOI that two other teachers, Pankaj and Pritam of EMRS, are also under the scanner. He said that Pankaj was shifted to Jhirniya due to misconduct but still had influence in the school, while Pritam filmed the video of the fight and made it viral on social media.
