Jaipur: Hours after an FIR was lodged against former BJP MLA from Ramgarh, Gyandev Ahuja, who has been expelled from BJP on charges of indiscipline, the irate motormouth deemed his expulsion from the party as "unjust" and effected by a group of "inexperienced" leaders — referring to CM Bhajan Lal Sharma and BJP state chief Madan Rathore — only to appease the Congress.
For his act of purifying a temple with gangajal after Rajasthan Leader of Opposition Tikaram Jully visited it, a case was filed against Ahuja under the SC-ST Act in Dausa on Monday.
Ahuja claimed his expulsion would be revoked once the "dust settles on Pahalgam" and that the BJP leadership in Delhi, who knows of his long years in the party, would fend for him.
"Home minister
Amit Shah and Defence minister Rajnath Singh know my contribution and my Sangh ideology. Once the dust settles on the Pahalgam episode, they will revoke my illegal termination. I have given my sweat and blood to defend the values of RSS, Jana Sangh, and BJP," Ahuja said.
The former legislator, who arrived in Jaipur Monday to plead his case before the state chief Rathore, was denied an audience. Shortly after, Ahuja lashed out at both Sharma and Rathore, underscoring their "political inexperience", which led to his "sacrifice" despite his decades-long service to the party.
He also alleged internal pressure in BJP, compounded by the fear that Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge would capitalise on the temple purification row — led to his abrupt removal. "They feared Kharge would raise the issue publicly, and in their haste to avoid embarrassment, they sacrificed my career," Ahuja said.
