False claims being made of NEET paper ‘leak’: Police
Jaipur: Police Wednesday issued an advisory warning students and parents about rising cyber frauds linked to the NEET-UG 2025 exam where scammers are making false claims about leaked question papers to extract money out of prospective candidates.
The advisory, jointly released with the National Testing Agency (NTA), stressed that all such claims are fake and the examination process is fully secure and confidential.
According to Hemant Priyadarshi, director general of police, cyber crime, the fraudsters are using Telegram and other social media platforms to spread misleading messages and lure people into paying large sums, sometimes ranging from Rs 50,000 to Rs 70,000. The scammers claim to have access to the NEET-UG question paper and try to win the trust of students and parents by mentioning printing presses, top rankers, and well-known coaching centres, he said.
Priyadarshi said that the NEET-UG 2025 exam, which is scheduled to take place nationwide on May 4, became the latest target of online fraud, with fake promises of leaked papers circulating widely on social media.
NTA and Rajasthan cyber crime branch clarified that no question paper was leaked and all such offers are fraudulent.
