Jaipur: Rishiraj Singh emerged as the pro-gross winner in the two-day PC Maheshwari Memorial Golf tournament (Monthly Medal - II) which concluded at the Rambagh Golf Club here on Sunday.
Rishiraj was followed by Girraj Singh Khadka, who finished as the pro-gross runner-up. The title of ‘amateur gross winner' was jointly claimed by Deepkaran S Thakkar and Nitesh Bandawala. In the prize distribution ceremony, both the winners and runners-up were awarded in different categories and handicaps.
Present on the occasion were the family of late PC Maheshwari, including his wife Pratibha Maheshwari, son Rajeev Maheshwari and daughter Ashoo Maheshwari. The honorary secretary of Rambagh Golf Club, Samridh Sharma and tournament convenor, Dr Himanshu Sharma, were the guests of honour.
Harish Joshi was the winner in handicap category (0-9) and Aarav Sacheti was the runner-up. Drishavraj reigned supreme in the handicap category (10-16), while Samranjai Singh finished as the runner-up.
The champion in the handicap category (17-24) was Rajveer Maheshwari pipping Arihant Palawat to the second spot.
Winner of ‘best senior golfer' was Pratap Singh, while the title of ‘best super senior golfer' was bagged by Nirankar Singh. Whereas the ‘best lady golfer' award went to Vrinda Saini, while Nitika Jadeja stood second.
Similarly, in other categories, ‘nearest to pin' winner was Ahaan Shah; the winner of ‘longest drive' was Abhyuday Rawat and the award for ‘straightest drive' was grabbed by Abhishek Raniwala.
