Kozhikode: Former Nilambur MLA PV Anvar, who had levelled allegations against ADGP MR Ajith Kumar, has flayed state govt for giving clean chit to the senior police officer in the disproportionate assets case saying that if was crucial for chief minister
Pinarayi Vijayan to make the officer the next state police chief.
Anvar told reporters at his house in Othayi that Vijayan knew very well that the next state govt would not be headed by him and so he wanted to appoint Ajith Kumar as the next state police chief to protect him for at least the next two-three years. Anvar said there was no one more suitable for that role than Ajith Kumar who had been part of all the wrongdoings.
"The clean chit is part of the heavy responsibility entrusted on Ajith Kumar by the chief minister to protect him during the tenure of the next govt," said Anvar.
He said the people of Kerala would give a befitting reply to the misrule of Pinarayi govt through the ballot and the Nilambur bypoll will be pointed in that direction.
He said CPM was in a desperate situation in the upcoming Nilambur bypoll as the party was struggling to find a person to contest in the party symbol.
