LUCKNOW: Pritam from Delhi and Rohan Khanna from Chennai, representing Battle Company, won the first day's quiz held as the precursor to the Global Investors Summit. The day's theme was business and corporate knowledge.
The Invest UP organised UP GIS-23 Headliner Business Quiz which saw representation from various companies across the country. Two competitions will be held on Sunday, one each for school and college children and another in the open category.
Ok Saturday, Ravi from Capgemini in Kolkata and Piyush Kedia from MX Player in Mumbai came second while the third position went to Navin from Hyderabad who works with Soumitra Construction and Jaykantanan who works in TCS in Chennai.
"IT professionals from Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Delhi and Kolkata etc participated in the quiz which was conducted by Kushan Patel. After the preliminary round, eight teams were selected for the final round. Questions on business brands, finance, technology, human resource, system and process, business personalities etc were asked," said a government spokesperson. The winning team got Rs 80,000, while the second team won Rs 45,000 and the team in the third position Rs 25,000. The audience also got a chance to win gifts. "We heard about this quiz two weeks ago and decided to participate. Along with the format of the quiz, the hospitality service was also very good. We would like to thank the government for this," said Pritam and Rohan Khanna.
On Sunday, there will be two competitions. After an online screening round, 200 teams will be selected. After a semi-final round, eight teams will go through the final round. In open category quiz, people of all age groups can participate. The two quizzes will focus on general knowledge, current affairs and business.
Ravi and Piyush Kedia thanked UP government for the event and said they had been very influenced by the changed environment in UP. Navin and Jayakantan said that they really enjoyed the experience of participating in the event. "Such events in states like UP generate a lot of hope. We have read about the GIS and are sure that it will be a successful event," they said.
