Former governor of J&K, Bihar, Goa and Meghalaya, Satyapal Malik, termed Maharashtra polls to be ‘last nail in the BJP's coffin’, while announcing on Sunday his support to Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA).
Malik made this statement after meeting Shiv Sena (UBT) leader and former Maharashtra chief minister Uddhav Thackeray in Mumbai.
Addressing the reporters, Malik expressed confidence about the opposition's success in the elections, reported PTI.

He said, "The BJP will not just receive a major blow, but the party will be wiped out in the state elections. Uddhav Thackeray will play the most important role in this election. You need not worry."
Further declaring his support for the MVA, he said, "I have extended my full support to the MVA. I will also campaign for it."
Malik also commented on the broader implications of the Maharashtra polls, noting that they will significantly influence the country's political landscape.
The Maharashtra assembly elections, involving 288 seats, are expected to be held in November. Howver, no official announcement has come yet. The state's ruling alliance, Mahayuti, consists of chief minister Eknath Shinde's Shiv Sena, BJP, and Ajit Pawar's NCP. In contrast, the MVA includes Uddhav Thackeray's Shiv Sena (UBT), Congress, and Sharad Pawar's NCP (SP).
