Joy and jubilation as students celebrate success
Lucknow: City school campuses were alive with cheers, celebrations of success, and emotional hugs on Wednesday, as the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) announced the Class X and XII results.
As Teeana Sarkar scrolled through her results, she could hardly believe she had scored a perfect 100 in political science. The first thing she wanted to do was visit the nearest temple. A student of La Martiniere Girls College, Teeana, who aspires to pursue a career in law, said her biggest inspirations are her hardworking father, former vice-president of the Asian Hockey Federation, Abhijit Sarkar, and her mother, Priyanka Sarkar. "I visited the temple in the morning, met my relatives in the afternoon, and went to the mall in the evening to celebrate my success," said Teeana.
At Saint Mary's Inter College, D-Block, teachers and students celebrated a 100% result on both the ICSE and ISC boards.
